Your body has been talking to you your whole life as has mine- the question is do we listen?

Listening becomes even more important as we age. Our body needs us to listen more so that we feel our best. When we have youth, our body hides a lot of the hits that it takes for us. As we age, our body wants to keep naturally regenerating, but may need some help depending on the journey called life.

Our genome has been evolving over 100,000s of years. It is refined, it is all about energy conservation, and at the same time it has regenerative capacity. Thanks to this amazingly complex evolution, no two genomes are the same. Your body is super unique to you and reacts to the world based on your own unique experiences.

For the first 1/4 of your lives, we are learning about the world, community, and ourselves. We find folks that we look up to, and we have so many different amazing experiences. All of this is important in how we value ourselves and how we feel stress in our life as well. By learning about ourselves, we have an opportunity to figure out how to relieve our body of stress based on past experiences. We also find what things upset our body’s balance that we may have never known. By being intentional about our body’s environment, we can give our body energy without pills, food, etc.

Your body speaks its own unique language. Your body tells you if you are off somewhere. Your body tells you with concentration deficit, lack of drive, decreased exercise compliance, increased cravings, sleep disturbance, weight gain, weight loss, rashes, hair loss, headaches, lack of libido, joint pain,  just to name a few. There can be a number of reasons why your body is showing symptoms. However, your body is speaking its own language. Your symptoms could be the same as your neighbors’, but mean something totally different. Figure out what and why YOUR body is telling you it is off- fix it (don’t mask it)….and it goes away.

My Simple 7 principals (daily actions to help you thrive in a strong, healthy and peaceful body) theory is that as long as you eat well, move, sweat, have a healthy GI system, sleep, balance your energy and belong to a community where you feel that you belong- then you will feel pretty good.

Trust your body, listen to your body, and believe in your body. Your body loves you and wants to protect you. It is not always obvious why your body shows certain symptoms. Remember, symptoms are your body’s voice. Be aware of what your body is trying to tell you. Take the time to listen to your body and your body will always tell you. At Simple Wellness, we listen to what your body is saying and figure out why you feel this way, and fix it.  It really is that SIMPLE. Let’s figure what your body is trying to tell you, schedule your appointment today.
